Hollywood sits within a street with a strong sense of community - established villas, familiar frontages and a distinctly local rhythm of life. That context shaped the house from the beginning. It needed to belong to the street without simply repeating it; to feel contemporary without becoming detached from its surroundings; and to create privacy without turning inward. Shanahan Architects, Trinity Interior Design and an award-winning building team each brought a distinct point of view to that balance. Architecture, interiors and construction were developed through close exchange, allowing different ideas to be tested and refined against the character of the place. Different voices remain present, but none compete for attention. The house feels connected to its neighbourhood while holding a clear identity of its own.
